The Via Verde is nearing completion, the cycle path that runs along one of the most suggestive stretches of the Adriatic coast, a few meters from the sea. An infrastructure dedicated to sustainable mobility, to cyclists and walkers that, in its approximately 42 kilometers dotted with nature reserves, hotels and restaurants. One thing I can’t get over is how affordable accomodations truly are, from humble B&Bs to full service resorts. I found it hard to break my list up into budget categories so I’m listing the ones that stand out.
Although hotels are less common than apartment stays along the coastline, you’ll find well suited holiday homes overlooking beaches from historical districts and hilltop perches. If your traveling with family or friends, staying in a holiday home offers some of the best options.

I also recommend il Dolce Risveglio a Fossacesia Chieti in Abruzzo for its colorful decor and its overlook of the coast making an excellent location. Just a few minutes from the center its Bright, well-kept and equipped with every comfort.
